Passing target: 80% (24/30)
You are driving out of a parking lot onto a city street. A sidewalk crosses the driveway just before the street. Where must you first stop?
A is leaving a driveway across a sidewalk toward a road used by B.
Correct answer: Before the sidewalk, and then yield to people on it and to street traffic.
Why
Wyoming law requires a driver who comes out of an alley, driveway, building or private road in a business or residence district to stop just before the sidewalk area. If there is no sidewalk, stop at the point nearest the street where you can see approaching traffic. You must yield to pedestrians on the sidewalk and to traffic on the street, because people who walk often cross driveways without looking.
