Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
At an intersection, this signal flashes on your side. What must you do?

Correct answer: Stop fully, and then go when it is safe, as at a stop sign
Why
A flashing red light has the same meaning as a stop sign. Stop at the stop line or before the crosswalk, then follow the stop sign rules: yield to vehicles close enough to be a hazard and to people in the crosswalk. At a railroad crossing, flashing red lights mean that a train is coming; stay stopped until the lights stop flashing and it is safe to cross.
