You are on a one-way street, stopped at a steady red light. You want to turn left onto another one-way street whose traffic moves to your left. No sign prohibits the turn. What may you do?
A is stopped at a red signal on a one-way street that meets another one-way street carrying traffic to the left. Pavement arrows identify both permitted directions.
Correct answer: Turn left after you stop and yield to pedestrians and traffic.
Why
Wyoming law allows two turns on a steady red light after a full stop: a right turn, and a left turn from a one-way street onto another one-way street. In both cases you must yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk and to other traffic, and no sign may prohibit the turn. A left turn on red onto a two-way street is not allowed.
