Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
A solid yellow no-passing line is on your side of the center line. You want to turn left into a private driveway on the other side of the road. What is the rule?
A travels beside a solid yellow line on a two-lane road. Across the empty opposing lane, a narrow private driveway ends in a short paved area instead of continuing as a street.
Correct answer: You may cross it to turn left into the driveway when the way is clear.
Why
Solid yellow lines mark places where passing is not allowed. Wyoming's manual and law make an exception for a driver who turns left into or from an alley, private road, or driveway. Before you cross, signal, slow down, and yield to oncoming traffic.
