Passing target: 80% (24/30)
You are driving slower than most traffic on a highway with two lanes in your direction. Which lane should you use?
Two highway lanes run in the same direction, separated by a broken white line. No car, route or preferred lane is marked.
Correct answer: The right lane, except when you pass or prepare to turn left.
Why
Wyoming law requires a vehicle that moves slower than the normal speed of traffic to use the right-hand lane, except to pass or to prepare for a left turn. Use the left lane to pass, to go faster than the traffic on your right, or to turn left. On a controlled-access highway, do not stay in the far-left lane for a long time when you hold up traffic that moves at a lawful speed.
