Passing target: 80% (20/25)
You are turning left from a two-way road into a road with one lawful receiving lane in your direction. No sign or marking directs another path. How should you turn?
Two unoccupied two-way roads meet. The vertical road has one lane on each side of its yellow center line, with no vehicle or turning path shown.
Correct answer: Turn from the leftmost lawful lane into the receiving lane.
Why
Approach in the extreme left lane available to your direction. Turn into a lane lawfully available in your new direction, following signs and lane markings. In this example there is one receiving lane. Where several lanes are available, the handbook recommends the nearest available lane as the normal safe procedure.
