Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
When may a driver move from a marked lane?
Blue car A faces east in the right lane. Silver car B occupies the neighboring left lane beside A’s rear quarter. Both cars face the same direction.
Correct answer: Only after checking that it is safe and signaling.
Why
Stay as nearly as practicable within one lane. Before a lane change, check mirrors, signal, check the appropriate blind spot and make sure the complete movement is safe. Move one lane at a time and recheck before another change. A vehicle not visible ahead may still be beside you.
