Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
What should a driver do before reaching a turn?
Correct answer: Plan early, signal before the turning point, check all around, and adjust speed.
Why
Plan the turn, observe traffic and adjust speed before turning. When other traffic may be affected, Maryland requires an appropriate signal continuously during at least the last 100 feet before the turn. A signal communicates intent; it does not create a right to turn into another road user.
