Passing target: 80% (20/25)
Your car stalls on a railroad crossing, and you see a train approaching. What should you do?
A is stalled across the tracks. A locomotive approaches from the left, traveling right toward the car.
Correct answer: Get everyone out and off the tracks, moving toward the side the train is coming from
Why
A train cannot swerve and needs a long distance to stop, so you cannot count on it stopping for you. Leave the vehicle immediately and move well clear of the tracks, angling toward the oncoming train. If no train is in sight, roll down the windows to listen, try to restart the engine, and if that fails, shift to neutral and push the vehicle off the tracks.
