Intersections & Right-of-WayStandalone practice
You and another car approach a four-way stop from different directions. The other car stops at its line first, and you stop a moment later. Who should go first?
A and B are stopped at a four-way stop. A timing card identifies B as the first vehicle to stop.
Correct answer: The other car, since it reached the line and stopped first
Why
Every driver at a four-way stop must come to a full stop before going. The manual sets the order by arrival: the driver who reaches the intersection and stops first goes first, whatever the side or direction of travel. Even when it is your turn, check that the intersection is clear before you go.
