Intersections & Right-of-WayStandalone practice
Your light is a steady green circle with no arrow. You want to turn left. An oncoming car is close enough to be a hazard. What should you do?
A faces a circular green light and intends a left turn. B approaches in the opposite direction on the same road.
Correct answer: Let the oncoming car pass, then turn when there is a safe gap.
Why
Without a green arrow, you must also yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk. While you wait in the intersection, keep your wheels pointed straight, so that a crash from behind does not push you into oncoming traffic. Once you have yielded and signaled, oncoming drivers who arrive later must yield to you.
