On a four-lane highway, you have been driving next to the middle of a semi-trailer, in the lane to its left, for about a minute. What should you do?
A travels in the left lane beside the middle of a tractor-trailer in the right lane. Both vehicles face right.
Correct answer: Pass it or drop back, so you do not stay in its blind spot
Why
Trucks and buses have large blind spots, and their drivers may not see a car beside them. Avoid driving next to any vehicle on a multi-lane road, and never stay alongside a large vehicle; move ahead of it or fall back. When you pass, move through the blind spot steadily instead of lingering there.
