Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
When does Montana law allow you to pass another vehicle on the right?
Correct answer: When it is turning left, or where two or more lanes go your way
Why
Even where it is legal, passing on the right is risky, because the other driver may not see you and may change lanes into you. Drivers ahead do not expect you on the shoulder and may pull onto it without looking. On multi-lane roads, the left lane is the normal lane for passing.
