You are driving on a city street. In which situation should you give a light tap on your horn?
Correct answer: A bicyclist ahead looks as if they will move into your lane.
Why
Montana requires a horn that can be heard from at least 200 feet and allows its use only when it is needed for safety. If there is real danger, such as a child about to run into the street or a car about to hit you, give a sharp blast. A light tap is also useful before a steep hill, a sharp curve, or the end of a narrow alley where you cannot see ahead.
