Licensing & Test ReadinessStandalone practice
Ava turned 17 last month. She has held her POP for nine months and has no points on her driving record. May she get a full Class O operator's license now?
Correct answer: No, because a driver under 18 must first hold a POP for at least 12 months.
Why
Nebraska will not issue a Class O license to anyone younger than 17. An applicant who is still under 18 must also have held a POP for at least 12 months and must not have picked up three or more points during the 12 months before applying. Once those conditions are met, the written and drive tests are waived and the license can be issued online or at a licensing office.
