Licensing & Test ReadinessStandalone practice
Maya turns 15 in 45 days. She passes the Type LPD written test today. When can Nebraska issue her learner's permit?
Correct answer: On her 15th birthday or any day after it
Why
The LPD lets a new driver practice for a POP, a Class O or a Class M license. It needs a vision test and a written test, and the written test is waived if you hold an LPE, SCP or LPD that is valid or expired no more than one year. Applying early lets you finish the testing so the permit can be issued on your birthday.
