Observation, Speed & SpaceStandalone practice
You are driving past a line of parked cars. Which of these tells you that a parked car may be about to pull out?
Correct answer: Exhaust coming from its tailpipe and its front wheels turned toward your lane.
Why
When you pass parked vehicles, look for signs that one is about to move: exhaust from the tailpipe, brake lights, back-up lights or a turn signal, front wheels turned out, or a person in the driver's seat. Also watch for people or animals stepping out from between parked cars. If you see a clue, slow down, cover the brake, and leave extra space if you can.
