A yellow curve warning sign has a plaque under it that shows 35 MPH. The posted speed limit on the road is 55 mph. What should you do?

Correct answer: Slow to about 35 mph before the curve, and go slower if the road is wet or icy.
Why
Yellow diamond signs warn of conditions ahead, and a speed plaque under one tells you how fast to take that condition. Slowing before the curve lets your tires use their grip for steering instead of braking. Reverse-curve and reverse-turn signs warn that the road bends one way and then the other, so slow down for them too.
