Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
You drive in the far-left lane of a freeway. Your exit is two miles ahead, and the exit lane is three lanes to your right. How should you get there?
A starts in the far-left lane of a four-lane freeway. The exit lane is three lanes to the right and the exit is two miles ahead, as stated in the card.
Correct answer: Move one lane at a time, and check and signal before each move.
Why
Nevada law lets you leave a lane only after you signal and make sure the move is safe, and that applies to each lane you cross. Start early, so you have time to wait for a safe gap in each lane. Frequent lane changes, or lane hopping, add to the crash risk and rarely save time.
