Passing target: 80% (20/25)
You park along the right-hand curb of a two-way street. How should your car be placed?
An empty two-way street shows its normal traffic directions and identifies the right-hand curb. No parked car, selected parking direction or distance appears in the question.
Correct answer: Facing the same way as traffic in that lane, with the wheels within 18 inches of the curb.
Why
When you park in the direction of traffic, you can pull out and merge with the flow instead of across it. A car within 18 inches of the curb stays out of the travel lane. The handbook also says that your parked car should be visible for 200 feet in each direction.
