You will drive your 4-year-old niece to preschool. She is 41 inches tall. How must she ride?
Correct answer: In an approved child restraint that fits her size and weight and is installed correctly.
Why
An adult belt does not fit a small child. A child restraint, which in Nevada law includes a booster seat, holds or positions the child so that the child is protected in a crash. Before each trip, check that the restraint is approved under federal safety standards, suits the child's size and weight, and is installed as its maker instructs. The back seat is generally the safest place for children.
