Passing target: 80% (32/40)
You are backing out of an angled parking space with cars parked on both sides of you. When should you turn the steering wheel?
A is parked facing into an angled space with B on one side and C on the other. The parking aisle behind A is clear, and the question image shows no backing route or clearance mark.
Correct answer: Back straight until your front bumper clears the car beside you, then turn.
Why
When you back and turn, the front of the car swings out to the side. Turning too early swings the front bumper into the car beside you. Keep checking your mirrors and over your shoulders, because drivers and pedestrians in the lot may not see you backing.
