You are first in line at a red light. The light turns green. What should you do before you drive into the intersection?
A is first in line at a signal that has just changed to circular green. It has not yet entered the intersection.
Correct answer: Look left, right and left again, because a driver may still run the red light
Why
When a light changes, the cross traffic has had a red light for only a moment, so a late driver can still enter the intersection. A short pause for your check also lets you see bicyclists and pedestrians who are still crossing. Before you go, make sure that the gap is large enough to cross the road, or to turn into your lane and reach a safe speed.
