You approach an intersection with no signs or signals. A car coming from your left has already entered the intersection when you get there. What should you do?
A approaches an uncontrolled intersection from the left of the image. B came from the road on A’s left and is already inside the intersection.
Correct answer: Slow down and let it finish crossing, since it is already in the intersection.
Why
Most crashes happen at intersections, and an uncontrolled one is often marked only by a warning sign before it. Reduce speed as you approach and be ready to stop for traffic from either side, especially where buildings, parked cars or crops block your view. When two vehicles do arrive together, the one on the left yields to the one on the right.
