You are behind a large truck as it nears an intersection. The truck moves to the left, but its right turn signal is on. What should you do?
A follows a large truck near an intersection. B is near the left of its lane while signaling right.
Correct answer: Stay behind the truck, since it may be swinging wide to turn right.
Why
Big trucks and RVs need more room to turn than cars. Before you pass one, check its turn signals, and if the truck seems to be turning left, wait a second and check again, because the driver may really be turning right. Do not follow too closely either, or the truck driver may not know that you are there.
