Passing target: 70% (14/20)
You are driving in a roundabout, and your exit is the next one. A pedestrian is about to step into the crosswalk on that exit road. What should you do?
A travels east along the bottom of a roundabout toward the next exit on the right. B stands at the near sidewalk, about to step north into the crosswalk across that exit road.
Correct answer: Turn on your right signal as you near the exit, and yield to the pedestrian as you leave
Why
Once you are in a roundabout, you have the right-of-way over vehicles waiting to enter. Your right signal tells those drivers, and people waiting to cross, that you are about to leave, so they can plan their next move. Pedestrians in a crosswalk still come first, so be ready to stop as you exit. Bicyclists who ride through a roundabout also give a right-hand signal when they leave.
