Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
The signal facing you at an intersection is flashing yellow, and a pedestrian is walking toward the corner ahead. What should you do?
A approaches an intersection under flashing yellow. Pedestrian B walks north toward the corner on A’s right; no answer path is shown.
Correct answer: Slow down, watch the pedestrian and cross traffic, and go on with care
Why
State law lets traffic that faces a flashing yellow light go through the intersection or past the signal only with caution. A flashing yellow arrow has the same meaning, but only for the turn that the arrow shows. Do not assume that cross traffic will stop for you.
