Traffic Signals & Road MarkingsStandalone practice
You want to turn right. The signal for your lane shows a steady red arrow pointing right. You have stopped, and no traffic or pedestrians are near. No sign is posted. What may you do?

Correct answer: Wait until the red arrow goes off and a green light or arrow comes on
Why
The turn-on-red rules apply only to a steady round red light. A red arrow controls only the movement it points to, so traffic in other lanes may still have a green light. When a green light or green arrow comes on, you must still yield to pedestrians and traffic in the intersection.
