Passing target: 70% (14/20)
You drive in the right lane of a one-way street with two lanes. A single solid white line separates the lanes. A delivery truck is stopped in your lane ahead, and the left lane is clear. What does the line allow?
A faces right in the right lane of a two-lane one-way street. Delivery truck B is stopped ahead in that lane. A single solid white line separates the lanes, and the left lane is clear.
Correct answer: Crossing it to go around the truck, because the blocked lane makes a change necessary
Why
Signal, check your mirror and blind spot, and yield to any traffic in the other lane before you move over. Before an intersection, a solid line between lanes also marks the point by which you must already be in the correct lane for your turn. White lines separate traffic moving in the same direction; yellow lines separate opposite directions.
