Weather, Visibility & EmergenciesStandalone practice
On a city street, your car and another car collide. No one is hurt. The damage to the two cars together looks like about $2,000, and both cars can still be driven. Must you report the crash to law enforcement?
Correct answer: Yes. Tell law enforcement at once, since the total damage is $1,000 or more.
Why
After any crash, stop, take steps to prevent more crashes, and help anyone who is hurt. Give your name, address, driver license number, registration number and insurance company to the others involved, and get the same from them. If no one is hurt and the cars can be driven safely, move them out of the travel lane to the shoulder. Also tell your insurance company about the crash.
