Passing target: 80% (24/30)
On a two-lane road, an oncoming car drifts across the center line into your lane. What should you do?
Oncoming silver car B straddles the double yellow center lines and has entered the lane of blue car A on a two-lane road. A has an open shoulder on its right.
Correct answer: Slow down, sound your horn, and move to the right, even if you must leave the road.
Why
Moving right takes you out of the other car's path, and running off the road is safer than a head-on crash. A swerve to the left could put you in front of the other car if its driver suddenly corrects. If a crash still seems likely, turn away from the oncoming traffic, into an open field if you can.
