Passing target: 80% (24/30)
You approach an intersection with no signs or signals, and you can see well in all directions. A car on the cross street to your left arrives at the same time as you. Who must yield?
A approaches from the west and B from the north at an open intersection without signs or signals. They arrive together, with B on A’s left.
Correct answer: The other driver must yield, but you still slow down and watch that car
Why
Many right-of-way crashes happen because one driver expects the other to yield. The law tells a driver when to yield; it never lets anyone drive into a crash. A vehicle that is already in the intersection goes before one that has not entered. Where a building or a hedge blocks your view of the cross street, stop and then move forward slowly and carefully.
