You approach an intersection where this yellow light flashes on and off. What should you do?
Blue car A approaches a four-way intersection under a single circular yellow beacon. The card states that the yellow lamp is flashing. No preferred route or stopping instruction appears in the question.
Correct answer: Slow down, look for traffic, and go on with care
Why
A flashing yellow light does not give you the right-of-way over vehicles already in the intersection or people in a crosswalk. If you turn left, you must also yield to oncoming vehicles that are close. Drivers on the cross street may not stop as they should, so look both ways before you enter.
