You enter a roundabout where four streets meet. You want to turn left onto the street to the left of your entry. How do you travel around the center island, and where do you leave?
A approaches from the bottom of a four-street roundabout. The street on A’s left is labeled as the intended street; the question image has no selected route, circulation arrows or numbered exits.
Correct answer: Counterclockwise, with the island on your left, and leave at the third exit.
Why
In Ohio, traffic in a roundabout moves counterclockwise, so you turn right as you enter and keep the center island on your left (ORC 4511.01 and 4511.32). Where four streets meet, the first exit is a right turn, the second goes straight, the third is a left turn and the fourth is a U-turn. Turn on your right signal before you leave at your exit.
