Parking ReversingStandalone practice
You have found a permitted roadside parking space and plan to reverse into it. What should you establish before beginning?
Correct answer: That the space fits your car and the whole path around it is clear
Why
Check that the space is permitted and large enough for your vehicle and manoeuvre. Observe the area behind and on both sides, including pedestrians and cyclists. Signal your intention, and begin only when it is safe. Reverse slowly and continue checking as the car moves; the initial check does not guarantee that the path will stay clear.
