Parking ReversingStandalone practice
You want to stop briefly in front of a private driveway on a public road. No traffic officer, traffic-control device or special local rule permits it, and there is no traffic emergency. Is this allowed?
Correct answer: No; stopping in front of the driveway is prohibited
Why
Do not stop, stand or park in front of a public or private driveway in these circumstances. The restriction protects access and applies even to a brief stop with the driver present. Hazard lights are not a parking permit. Follow any applicable local traffic-authority rules, traffic-control devices and officer directions, and choose a place where stopping is permitted.
