Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
You intend to continue straight on a two-way road. Your through lane is moving slowly, and an empty centre lane is designated for left turns in both directions. What should you do?
Correct answer: Stay in the through lane and move with its traffic
Why
A centre lane designated for left turns in both directions is not an extra through lane or a passing lane. If you intend to continue straight, stay in the through lane. When making a left turn, signal, check the markings and other traffic, and enter the centre lane only when safe; vehicles travelling the other way may also enter it to turn.
