Passing target: 75% in each of the three areas
On the ordinary two-way approach shown, with no special turn-lane signs, where should the blue car position itself before turning right?
A blue car approaches an intersection on an ordinary two-way road with two receiving lanes in each direction.
Correct answer: At the far right-hand side of the roadway
Why
For an ordinary right turn, position at the far right of the roadway, or use a lane specifically designated for the turn. Signal, check mirrors and the right blind spot, and yield to pedestrians and cyclists crossing the road you are entering. Turn into the proper right-hand lane without swinging into the centre or left side. A bike lane or sidewalk is not an extra driving lane.
