Passing target: 75% in each of the three areas
At a T-intersection with no signs or signals controlling priority, does the shape of the roads alone give all vehicles on the continuing road automatic priority?
Correct answer: No. Apply the normal rules, such as yielding to the right.
Why
Do not decide priority from the T shape alone. Unless signs or signals say otherwise, Quebec's general rule at an intersection or junction requires yielding to a vehicle approaching from your right on the road you will cross or join when your movement would create a danger. Other duties, such as yielding during a left turn or when leaving private property, can also apply. Observe the actual controls, traffic and intended movements before proceeding.
