You see this sign at a railroad crossing that has no gates or lights. A freight train has just cleared the crossing. What should you do before you cross?

Correct answer: Look and listen again for a second train on the other track before you cross.
Why
Some crossings with more than one track have no number plaque, so check for more tracks at every crossing. Cross only when you are sure the way is clear, and do not stop on the tracks. If lights or gates are present, wait until they show that it is safe to cross.
