On the interstate, you are in the lane to the right of a tractor-trailer, next to the middle of its trailer. You can see the truck's right mirror, but you cannot see the driver's face in it. What does this tell you?
A travels in the right freeway lane beside the middle of tractor-trailer B in the adjacent left lane. The card states that A can see B’s right mirror but cannot see the driver’s face in it. Neither a response route nor a safe position is selected.
Correct answer: Move ahead or drop back, because the driver cannot see you there.
Why
Large trucks and buses have blind spots, called No Zones, at the front, sides and rear, and they are much larger than a car's. The right side is the most dangerous, because the blind spot there covers most of the truck's length. Do not drive beside a large vehicle any longer than you must.
