Passing target: 80% (32/40)
You are in the middle of an intersection, going through on a green light, when an ambulance with its siren and flashing lights comes up behind you. What should you do?
A is in the middle of the intersection on green. White ambulance B follows with siren and flashing lights identified by the stem card and exterior flash cues.
Correct answer: Drive on through the intersection, then pull to the right edge and stop
Why
When an emergency vehicle uses its siren or flashing lights, pull over parallel to and as close as possible to the right edge or curb, clear of any intersection, and stop. Stay stopped until it passes or an officer directs you, and look for more emergency vehicles before you move. Do not pull over in a place where you would block a side road or driveway that the emergency vehicle may need.
