Safe & Responsible DrivingStandalone practice
Two friends of the same weight each drink the same amount of alcohol in an hour. One ate a full meal first; the other drank on an empty stomach. How does the meal affect the first friend?
Correct answer: The meal slows how fast alcohol enters the blood, but all of it still gets there.
Why
Food makes the BAC rise more slowly, but it does not make it safe to drink and drive. BAC also depends on how much and how fast a person drinks, on body weight and on body fat. The only safe plan is not to drive after drinking.
