Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
You drive on a highway at 55 mph. A yellow diamond sign shows a black arrow that curves to the left. What does the sign tell you?

Correct answer: A curve to the left is ahead; slow down before you enter it.
Why
Tennessee uses the curve sign for curves with a recommended speed from 30 to 55 mph. A sharper bend, with a recommended speed of 30 mph or less, has a turn sign with a sharply bent arrow. A small speed plate under the sign gives the recommended maximum safe speed for that curve.
