Your street ends at a T-intersection with a through street. There is no sign or signal. You want to turn right, and a car on the through street comes from your left. What must you do?
Blue A approaches the end of its street at an unsigned T-intersection. Silver B approaches from the left on the through street.
Correct answer: Stop and yield to the car on the through street, because your street ends here.
Why
Drivers on the through street expect to continue without a stop, so the driver whose street ends must wait. Texas law requires a full stop and a yield to any through-street vehicle that is in the intersection or close enough to be a hazard. Look left, right and left again, because when you turn right, a car from the left reaches your lane first.
