Passing target: 70% (28/40)
You are parked parallel to the curb on a quiet street. You want to pull out into the lane, and you see no other vehicles. What should you do?
Blue car A is parked parallel beside the right curb of a two-way street, facing with traffic. No other road users are visible. The question image shows no pull-out path or signal instruction.
Correct answer: Turn on your left signal, check your mirrors and blind spot, and pull out when it is safe.
Why
A signal tells others what you will do before you do it. Other road users can be hard to see from a parked car, for example a bicyclist or a car that comes out of a driveway. Make the signal a habit for every lane change, turn and start from the curb, so that you do not forget it when it matters.
