Show the answer and the explanationHide the answer
Correct answer: B. The work zone ends; you can return to normal driving.
Why
END ROAD WORK marks the end of a work zone. Past this sign you can go back to normal driving, but obey the posted speed limit and watch for work vehicles that leave the zone. The ROAD WORK AHEAD sign is also orange, but it is a diamond: it warns that a work zone starts ahead.
Why the other answers are not correct
- A. Wrong: that is the meaning of the ROAD WORK AHEAD sign, an orange diamond.
- C. Wrong: the sign is about the end of road work, not the end of the road.
- D. Wrong: a detour is shown with DETOUR signs and arrows.
