Correct answer: A. The road bends left here; slow down and follow it.
Why
This is the One-Direction Large Arrow sign. It stands on the outside of a sharp bend, facing you, and points the way the road goes. Slow down before the bend and steer to follow it. It often adds to a Turn sign placed earlier. Chevron signs do a similar job, but each one is a tall, narrow sign with a V-shaped mark. A black-and-white ONE WAY sign is different: it is a rule for traffic flow, not a curve warning.
Why the other answers are not correct
- B. One-way streets use a black-and-white ONE WAY sign; this yellow sign warns of a change in road direction.
- C. A lane that ends has its own Lane Ends sign; this arrow marks a bend in the road.
- D. Detour arrows are orange; this yellow arrow marks a sharp bend in the road.
