What does this sign warn you about?

- CThe road curves to the left and then back to the right.
- DYour lane ends ahead, so merge into the lane on the left.

Correct answer: C. The road curves to the left and then back to the right.
Why
This yellow diamond warns of a reverse curve: the road curves one way and soon curves back the other way. Slow down before the first curve and stay in your lane through both. The Reverse Turn sign looks similar but its arrow has sharp, square bends; it warns of tighter turns that need a lower speed.
Why the other answers are not correct
- A. Wrong: three or more curves close together use the Winding Road sign, whose arrow bends back and forth more times.
- B. Wrong: a side road sign shows a straight line with a shorter line joining it, not a curving arrow.
- D. Wrong: a lane that ends is shown by two lines where one bends in to meet the other; this arrow shows the path of the road.
