Show the answer and the explanation

Correct answer: B. A sharp left turn, then a sharp right turn.

Why

This is the Reverse Turn sign. It warns of two sharp turns in opposite directions, close together. On this sign the road turns left first, then right. Slow down to a safe speed before the first turn and stay in your lane through both turns. The Reverse Curve sign looks similar, but its arrow has smooth bends and warns of two gentler curves.

Why the other answers are not correct

  • A. Gentler curves use the Reverse Curve sign, whose arrow has smooth bends, not square corners.
  • C. Side roads are shown as short branches that join a straight line, not as bends in the arrow.
  • D. The Winding Road sign shows an arrow with three or more bends; this arrow has two.
